a very well-made instrument; [it] played really well and had that famous “two-pickup Mosrite sound”—a sweet top end tone with a clean bottom on the lower strings. I suppose rock guitarists might prefer that bridge pickup growl instead of a “sweet” tone…. [U]s older country pickers probably can identify more with clean articulate sounds! He really presented good workmanship on it. The pearl white guitar that Semie gave to me at the Dallas Guitar Show had a maple neck with a maple fretboard, and a natural colored headstock.
